"Dr. Yunus and Tarique Rahman to Set Meeting Agenda"

The Chief Adviser's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, has stated that no specific agenda has been set for the meeting between Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman scheduled for the morning of May 13th.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Tuesday afternoon, Alam said, "Dr. Yunus is the head of Bangladesh's interim government, and Tarique Rahman is the leader of the country's largest political party. They will meet as they see fit, and they will decide what to discuss."

He added that discussions could cover a wide range of topics, including the July Charter and elections. When asked about a letter seeking a meeting between the Chief Adviser and British MP Tulip Siddiq, Shafiqul Alam replied that it is a legal matter and is being handled legally.

Meeting with British PM Uncertain-A meeting between Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to Bangladesh's interim government, currently visiting London, and UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has not yet been scheduled. Prime Minister Starmer is currently on a visit to Canada, according to Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.

Shafiqul Alam stated that a meeting could take place if Keir Starmer returns to the UK before Professor Yunus's departure on June 14th, and if his schedule permits. These details were shared by Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam at a press conference held today, Tuesday, at 4:15 PM local time, at the Bangladesh High Commission building in London.

Deputy Press Secretary Azad Mazumder and Press Minister Akbar Hossain, stationed in London, were also present at the briefing.
