HMP Bronzefield, the UK's largest women's prison, has become the backdrop for an unlikely and disturbing friendship between two of the country's most reviled criminals. Nursery worker Roksana Lecka and notorious murderer Sabrina Kouider have reportedly become "best pals," with sources inside the prison claiming the duo "strut around" like they "own the place." Their brazen behavior and focus on personal appearance have earned them the derisive nickname "glam lags" among fellow inmates.
A Friendship Forged in Infamy
The alleged bond between the two women has shocked even hardened criminals. According to former inmates, Lecka, who was convicted of 21 counts of child cruelty, and Kouider, who brutally tortured and murdered her babysitter, are rarely seen apart. An anonymous former prisoner, who was serving a sentence for assault, expressed her disgust, stating, "Lecka would walk around like she had not done anything—she looks down on people." She added that Kouider, a "narcissistic horrible person," is Lecka's closest confidante. The pair reportedly spend their time together, "chilling," "talking about people," and "making fun" of other prisoners.
Both Lecka and Kouider have reportedly displayed a striking lack of contrition for their crimes. The former prisoner said, "They were more focused on their image than showing any remorse for what they did." Lecka, in particular, was described as "boastful," "very vain," and constantly wearing fake eyelashes and makeup. Her self-absorbed attitude reportedly extended to conversations where she allegedly "boasted she was going to get off" before her conviction.
The Crimes that Led to Their Convictions
Lecka, 22, was found guilty in June of 21 counts of child cruelty after a six-week trial at Kingston Crown Court. A Metropolitan Police investigation revealed she had abused multiple children, some as young as ten months old, at two separate nurseries in Twickenham and Hounslow between October 2023 and June 2024. Her horrific actions earned her widespread public condemnation.
Kouider's crime, committed in 2017, was equally horrifying. The then 35-year-old and her partner, Ouissem Medouni, tortured their 21-year-old French nanny, Sophie Lionnet, before murdering her and burning her body. During their trial, a deluded belief that Lionnet was conspiring with Kouider's former partner, ex-Boyzone member Mark Walton, was revealed. Both Kouider and Medouni were sentenced to life in prison in 2018 for the murder.
A Disturbing Lack of Remorse
The former prisoner, who witnessed the friendship firsthand, expressed her shock and disgust. She noted that Lecka’s friendship with Kouider should have been a red flag. "The fact she befriended Sabrina, I should have known she was guilty," she said. This observation highlights the shared personality traits of the two women—a perceived lack of empathy and a focus on self-preservation and personal image above all else.
The prison, HMP Bronzefield, is managed by Sodexo. A spokesperson for the facility declined to comment on the matter, stating they do not discuss individual inmates. The story of Lecka and Kouider’s unsettling bond, however, continues to circulate, offering a grim glimpse into the lives of those who show little to no regret for their heinous actions.
